What if I'm not happy with my photos?
Your payment is held in escrow and only released after you confirm you're happy. For Explorer and Creator bookings, you review your full unedited gallery before approving. For Pro Roamie bookings, you review your 10 edited hero shots before approving. If you're unhappy, contact us at hello@roamie.uk within 72 hours — Roamie reviews the gallery independently and issues a full or partial refund where appropriate.
What if I feel uncomfortable during the session?
Every session has a dedicated WhatsApp group with you, your Roamie, and our team. You can message us at any point. You also have the right to end the session at any time — we will arrange a fair resolution. Every companion is ID verified before their first booking.
Do I need to know how to pose?
Not at all. Your Roamie will offer natural, friendly direction throughout the session — angles, movement, expressions. You don't need any experience. The whole point is to help you feel relaxed and confident. Most people are surprised how comfortable it feels.
Can families book a session?
Absolutely — families are one of our most popular bookings. The Explorer badge is perfect for families who want beautiful travel memories without the awkward selfies or rushing strangers. Your Roamie will find the best spots and make the whole family feel at ease.
What equipment does my Roamie use?
Explorer and Creator companions shoot on their own verified smartphone — minimum iPhone 14 or Samsung Galaxy S24 equivalent. Pro Roamie companions bring their own professional camera and equipment. All photos are delivered via your private Roamie Pixieset gallery.
What exactly is included in the price?
Explorer & Creator: your Roamie's time, location scouting, natural direction throughout the session, and the full unedited gallery delivered same day via your private Pixieset gallery. High-quality iPhone 14+ images ready to download and use immediately — no editing needed.
Pro Roamie: everything above, plus a professional camera, full session planning, and 10 professionally edited hero shots with colour grading delivered within 5 days. Reels available as an optional add-on.
How does payment protection work?
You pay Roamie at booking — your companion is not paid yet. Your money is held securely.
Explorer & Creator: after your session, your companion uploads your full gallery to Pixieset same day. You review your gallery. Confirm via WhatsApp or allow 72-hour window to pass. Payment releases.
Pro Roamie: same process, but you also select 10 photos for editing and approve the final edited shots before payment releases.
If there's a dispute, Roamie steps in and reviews the gallery independently. You are always protected.
What is the Buyer Protection fee?
A small fee (5% + £1.50, max £25) added to every booking to cover your escrow protection, dispute resolution, and quality assurance. This launches with the Roamie app — MVP bookings are currently fee-free. 🎁
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. More than 48 hours before your session: full refund. 24–48 hours before: 50% refund. Less than 24 hours before: no refund. Companion cancellations follow the same policy — if your Roamie cancels within 24 hours, you receive a full refund and priority rebooking.
